Thankyou Card and some Tags

Hi,

Recently I was not very active in blogging, I do made lots of projects but couldn't post them here due to lack of time. Yesterday I made one Thankyou card and some tags. As always I prefer distressing and love how the results come out. In this card I tried to keep some bright colors and the result is very beautiful. Have a look:

I have used the following Distress ink Colors: Wild Honey, Fired Brick, Walnut Stain, Dusty Concord, Broken China, Mustard Seed. For Stamping I used Black Soot. I also used chocolate brads of HOTP on top right corner. I have used Tim Holtz Stamps (assorted packs) and for Tag I used Spellbinder Die (I forgot the name as I threw the cover some time earlier, I will update the post as soon as I remember the name.)
It was a fun project because the three people stamp was not used by me till date and I was wondering how it will look on projects. It looks lovely.

And now I am posting some tags which I made to try some different Distressing Techniques:

In the above tags I used mostly the same material as in previous card but only used some different techniques. The flower piece in center is stamped and cut using Hero Arts Stamp and Cut die then I embossed it and distressed it to create a lovely vintage embossed flower look (This is a technique which I learnt from Rajini Ji.)

Easel Card..

Hello friends!!

Sharing my another card with the same alchohol inks but thys time combined with heat embossing technique. The background paper is made using alchohol inks. You can either use acetate sheet or glossy paper for it.
The flowers are all embossed with black embossing powder and distressed with Barn Door and Wild Honey distressed inks by Rangers and then fussy cut.For embossing first stamp with verasmark ink ,sprinkle black embossing powder, dab the extra powder and then heat it with the heat tool.

You can easily find complete range of alchohol inks along with applicator felt pad and alchohol blending solution at very reasonable rates at non other than  Imaginations, the premium craft supply store. You can also check for the complete range of  heat embossing powders and distress inks here.

Wood background card...

Hello friends...

Just a small and a very quick post today. Though i hv a long list of crafters who always inspire me daily but the card i am sharing today is inspired by Erum Tasneem and Kavi tha.
Few months back  i was trying hard to create wood background for my quilling project but was not happy with what i created.TheWoodground card by Kavi tha and a card by Glitter and Swirls( Erum Tanseem) were so eye catching that i descided to try my hands on.Hop on to their blog if u also want to get inpired.

Ooooppps!!
How can i forget to use my favourite alchohol inks.
No,I can't do that.

Can anyone tell me where have i used alchol inks ????

Yessss.....those pretty lemon colour pearls are inked with these inks only.
Arn't they amazing???
U can do lots n lots more with these inks.I will be posting more projects very soon.Keep updating yourself.

We are the perfect blend..

Hello everyone!!

I'm Rajni, here again to show u what all i m busy creating these days with alcohol inks. Since Holi is approaching and i m too playing with lots of bright colors i thought of making something to co-relate with the same.

This card will show u how clear n transparant these inks are.You won't believe i have used more then 6 colors in creating this background.
Again simple steps to work with these inks.I have used OHP transprency sheet for this project.

  • Squeeze two or three colors of AdirondackAlcohol Ink on an Ink Applicator.
  • Dab onto the transparency, covering the entire area with color. Allow to dry.
  • Dab second layer with another three different colours with the help of ink applicator and this time use ink blending solution.Dab again n again to get blotchy effect and let it dry on it own.
  • Once the surface is completely dry add few drops of some bright color and without wasting any time blow with a straw. The inks have flowing consistency due to which it will run with pressure.
  • Attach the Transparency over the glossy paper.

Now you can design your card according to your theme. Here i have made a rossette with Ms Double LoopPunch and placed a pretty mulberry flower on top.For the tiny butterflies i have used the same inking technique, but on glossy paper this time.

Note.....A very very special tip for all those who have these inks but are not able to use them because either they don't have Alchohol blending solution or those who feel expensive using it.This is the tip i got from a wonderful friend,a wonderful crafter who runs craft online classes.she is Varah Musavvir.I must say she is a wonderful teacher Thanks a lot Varah it was great fun learning at ur classes.
Now on to the tip...
Just open your cupboard and try using your inks with your nail polish remover. Those who don't have it can get Wembley's thinner from a hardware shop.Trust me it worked wonders for me.With this i want to add that results with Alchohol blending solution are much better. Those who want to spend can add that only but my pocket allows me to add new shades of these colours rather than to buy blending solution. So the decision is left to you.
