Distress Inks all the way : #1 ANYTHING GOES WITH DISTRESS INKS

Hi. This is Seema here. I am a weekend crafter and for me crafting is an absolute de-stress. I have a daughter who is gonna be entering her teens in the next couple of months and she is my best critic and my officially photographer.

I am so glad to be a part of the DT for Imaginations Online. Thanks for the opportunity. It's my first post as a DT and am very nervous.

The challenge for this month is "Anything goes with Distress Inks" and I created this card. When I was introduced to Distress Inks, I only used to distress the sides. But over time, I realised its versatility. You can create your own backgrounds. You can even stamp with them (image is not as crisp as the Archival Ink).

I started off with a plain white card. Not used any pattern paper for this card. I have made the backgrounds using the distress inks.

For the first background - I embossed the paper using my darling BIG SHOT and then distressed the entire paper. Even the other backgrounds, I have distress the entire paper and then water sprayed them. Distress inks being water based inks react with water and give wonderful effects.

Have used the distress inks to even color the little girl. Although, me and coloring don't go together, I seem to be loving to color with distress inks. The effect is so wonderful.

We have all the colors of distress inks and their re-inkers available in our store. Do check www.imaginationsonline.com

Do you see the scalloped square die cut behind the girl - well, thats a new collection of dies now available on www.imaginationsonline. com. Its from the brand called "Happy Crafters".  They are so reasonably priced.

Cheers,
Seema
