#CENTRE STEP CARD with Diecuts

 Hello Everyone,
This is Reena this side.. Back again with yet another post and tutorial..
Today I'm going to share with you the HOW-TO of this beautiful Centre Step Card I made for our July Challenge.
Here is the Finished Card.

TUTORIAL:
STEP 1: Take a cardstock of 5 1/2" x 11" and Cut from 1" to 6 1/2" both on the top and bottom as shown in the picture.

STEP 2: Score at 1", 2" and 6 1/2" from the top till the Cut line.. And at 5 1/2" in between the Cut lines and fold on the score lines such that it looks as shown in the picture below.

STEP 3: Now cover your card with Patterned papers of your Choice.
You will require: 2 strips of 4 1/8" x 7/8"
                          1 strip of 5 1/4" x 7/8"
                          1 pc of 4 5/8" x 3 5/8"
                          1 pc of 5 1/4" x 5 1/4"
Here is how it would look after covering with Patterned paper.

STEP 4: ( Final Step): Embellishment your card as per your choice. Here I have used Stamped image, rhinestones and  diecuts to embellish mine. You can take an Stamped Image of your choice and colour it.
Here I have used a Whimsy stamp called " Friendship is the Greatest Gift"
The image is stamped on a paper that measures 3 5/8" x 3 7/8" and lined up on a cardstock that measures  3 1/2"x 4". I have distressed the egdes of my Diecuts and Stamped image using Old paper distress ink.
Here are the Embellishments and Coloured Image I have used.

Finally Embellish your card By bringing all these together and your card is ready.. Isn't that really easy???
Here's how the finished card looks.

Shaker card with dies

 Hey people!!

I hope that you all are doing good and having fun!!!
This months challenge is BINGO and I'm sure you must be having a gala time donning your thinking caps and creating something nice and beautiful.

Along with the BINGO challenge, we decided to focus on the various usage of the dies, for they are very very versatile and fun to use too!!!!
I decided to make a shaker card with the dies !! It might seem a little difficult, but once you figure out on how to apply the technique, you can go around and play with all the glitter and add that sparkle to your creations.

Glitter is in trend these days and I was not far behind to use, I pretty much had decided that somehow I'll do incorporate this element into my next task.
Check out this closer look of the shaker with all that yummy glitter inside, doesn't that looks pretty??

I love all those sea creatures and on top of that that little shower on glitter on them!!! Brings the much needed spark !!!

Here's how I made this card, it's a long post, so grab a nice cup of coffee, sit back and enjoy!!

Here are the things, that you need for the card
1) Cardstock for the base( I took a Fabriano)
2) Stamps of your choice (Here, Lawn Fawn, critters under the sea)
3) Acetate sheet
4) Die of your choice (here, spellbinders pitot edge circle and circle nestabilities)
5) Glitter
6) some double sided tape(3M )

Lets get started!!

Die cut the largest of the spellbinders pitot edge circles die, and while the diecut is still in the die, ink it up a little with the salty ocean distress ink to have a little of the watery look!
Stack 2 of the nest-abilities circle die together and run it through the bigshot to get a frame of the circle. Stamp the images of your choice and color them out!! The colouring is sure to be the best part :)

Once my sea creatures are all coloured up, I pasted them on diecut cut, I also stamped up the fishes and the little fern and added a dash of color to them. I left the Dolphin aside since I wanted it to go outside of the shaker.
Lets make the shaker part now, which also happens to be my favorite!

Take the circle frame portion and apply a little but strong glue to it, paste the acetate circle diecut on it (ohh yes, the little acetate sheet you had, take the larger of the two nestablitlies that your are using and run it through the bigshot to get a circle of the acetate sheet). Now comes a little tough part, take a double sided tape and adhere it along the frame of the circle. Make sure that the tape is just broad enough to cover the frame, else it will show through the acetate sheet and will look messy!

Once all the double sided tape is done, adhere it to the diecut which already has the sea creatures pasted. And yes, do not forget to add some sparkle!!! You can alternatively also use sequins!!!
Your shaker is now ready to use!! Yayyyyyyy !!! simple and easy peasy, isn't it???? Mount it on your card base and once done, I also adhered that pretty little Dolphin!!!
Stamp the sentiment of your choice and voila, you are done!!!

Here's the final look of my card!!!
Shake it to your hearts content!!! :)

I just loved making this card!!!! It's sooper easy and adds fun to your creations!!!
and what more, another usage of the dies !!

I hope you all had a nice time reading the tutorial about this technique and must be waiting for this to end so that you can try your hands on this technique. We would love to see this technique embedded with the theme of our current BINGO challenge.
Do play with us in this months challenge!!
Incase you have some query, do leave a comment and I would be happy to help !!!!

PS: This has been brought into our notice that there is a similar looking card at this blog http://prettypinkposh.com/2013/05/shakin-under-the-sea.html. Do visit the link to see one more sooperb take on the Lawn Fawn critters card.

Cute MDF Dresser: Challenge # 2 - BINGO

 Hello Crafters,

I hope you all are super excited to play along with us in our next challenge hosted by our awesome DT, Seema !!! and yes, this challenge happens to be my one of the favorites too!!! It's BINGO time. It's super simple and gives you ample of options to choose from !!!! Lets check out our BINGO for this challenge

It's easy peasy, isn't it??
You can make a card or a scrap layout or just about anything. Whats important is that you need to use a pattern paper (that is compulsory) and then you have two options - you can either use dies / punches and ribbons / charms or pearls / rhinestones and butterflies.

Here's my take on the challenge!!!

I made this cute MDF chester with cute pattern papers and added a lot of pearls. The big flower in the center has been made with the joycraft dies!! I love my joycraft die to make the flowers and ohh yes, Imaginations  has these dies, so you can grab your share while the stock lasts!!! Ohh between, I love my new corner Joycraft die too, did you check it out at the corner up at the front?? Looks nice, isn't it?

Check out the flowers on the top!!!!

So grab you favourite pattern papers and get going on to make your creations choosing your combination from the BINGO!!!

Please find the link to the challenge  here Challenge # 2 - BINGO.

Happy Crafting!!!

#DISTRESS INK TECHNIQUES

 Hello Peeps,
This is Reena this side.. And I'm Back her with a Tutorial on Distress Ink Technique..
Here we go..

STEP 1:
I have started with blending the tag with different shades of Distress Inks as shown in the pictures below... I have used 3 shades: Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Peacock feathers..

STEP 2:
I have stamped the tag with an Old Script background stamp by Heroarts followed by Splotching with Perfect pearls.. For Splotching, take Perfect pearls powder and mix it with a little bit of water and then with help of a paint brush splash it on the paper by hitting the paint brush gently on the index finger, paint brush facing the paper and then heat set it, as shown in the pictures below.

STEP 3:
Finally I have used a Scroll stamp By Kaisercraft and inked it with a Versamark Embossing Ink pad and then mistted it water and stamped it across the tag and finally heat set it, as shown in the picture below.

Since i have used both perfect pearls and water resist with Embossing ink, the impression of the stamp is just about visible..

Note: This technique can also be used without Splotching with Perfect Pearls and just directly stamping by  inking and mistting the stamp with Embossing Ink and water respectively, to get a more clear and prominent impression of the stamp.
Tip: Make sure the stamp you use has a broad print to get good results.
Hope you Like the post and find it informative.
Please do leave ur love in the form of comments below.

Thanks & Warm Regards,
Reena Gupta.
