Festive Galore...Christmas

Hello Everyone!!!

Christmas is around the corner and so is the mood for the new year!!!

We have a brand new festive challenge for this month here at IMAGINATIONS!!! It's all about Christmas.... You need to showcase your festive side and make anything related to Christmas in all it's true blue colors, ie. Red, Green and White. These should be the main colors in your creations!!! You can make anything except CAS Cards!!

Here's what I made for this months challenge. An Easel drawer box!!! I made this one for my nephew to be given to his teacher as his Christmas gift!! (and I do wonder if this will ever reach his teacher's hands!!!) I wanted to make something which his teacher remembered for a long time and also which could be something useful to her. So the drawer in this easel box comes handy for the teacher to keep some of her stuff!!! and yes, something like this makes a nice Christmas present tooo !!!
Here's what I made..

A closer look at the flowers. These have been made with the Joycraft flower die!!

The view with the drawer opened up!! It's fairly a nice area of 6*6 to keep some itty bitty stuff in!!

Another view of the box!!

Do not forget to take part in this months challenge, the details of the same can be found here.

Hope you all liked what I made.

Happy Crafting!
Hugs!

'Tis the season of giving

Congratulations to the winners of the October challenge. Keep looking - we are soon going to announce the winners of the September and November challenge.

Christmas is season of giving and sharing. So here's my little album that I have made with the theme in mind that can be gifted. This album can store pictures in the pockets. Its simple and quick to make and I am the receiver will love it. I sure loved making it.

Cover page
There is a belly band that goes around the album that helps as a closure.

Inside of the album
That's the inside. Has six pockets that have photo mats to stick pictures. The photo mats have little tabs on them.  Also, can slip in more pictures if you like.

I hope the receiver will like this.

Do leave some love in the comments.

Thanks and have a great Christmas.

Ciao,
Seema

December Challenge - Christmas with Traditional Colors (Red,Green and White)

Hello everyone!
How are you all doing? First of all,Let me thank all of you those who participated in our November Challenge - OUT OF THE BOX. We loved see you returning over and again sharing your gorgeous projects. Hope you all enjoyed creating something unique than your signature style.

And now onto the December Challenge - Christmas in traditional colors i.e the Red,Green and white combo... But the twist is No CAS... It can be a 3D,Box,Fancy folds..anything else other than a single layer CAS.

And here is my take on the current challenge - A Star Christmas Card

I have a simple tutorial on how I did that...

I used a 30cm by 30cm square cardstock. Find the centre (15cm) on opposite sides of the square and make a mark .
From the bottom right hand corner, measure 30cms to the centre line at the top. Repeat this with the bottom left hand corner.
You now have a triangle that is 30cms on all sides. Cut the triangle.
Hope the picture explains it better.

Now, find the centre point on all three sides of the triangle and join these points.

For the next set of score lines, make a mark at the point that is 1/6th of the length of the side of the main triangle. HEre 1/6th is 5cm.. so I marked at a point that is 5cm on all the sides from the edge.. that is from the pointed sides of the triangle. Now join them.

Score and fold along all the lines.. The inner triangle lines are valley fold and the outer ones are mountain fold.

Fold and close the card overlapping each point of the star to make it a star.

And it is ready to embellish it pattern papers and we are done.

Hope you all liked it.

Have fun creating a lot of projects and remember to link it up here.
